I was absolutely delighted with the service from Te Awahou Funeral team I approached them with some fairly difficult and unusual requests, at very short notice, and they were able to provide everything we needed and went above and beyond the call of duty at every stage. On top of this they were extremely reasonably-priced and the whole family felt supported and informed throughout. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Te Awahou Funeral Services, in particular, Jayden Moore, for fixing up the incompetent work done (by a Funeral Home, Rotorua), on our niece who passed away suddenly last week. Prepared and Transported from Rotorua funeral home referred to by Rotorua Police, not good! Their shoddy work, inexperience, incompetence, insensitivity to the bereaved family was unacceptable. The last thing a grieving whānau needs to go through at this time.
I personally endorse the work Jayden Moore and his team do for families who've lost loved ones who don't need this type of drama, especially, at a time where grief, uncertainty, sensitivity, are present. Aroha (love) manaakitanga (care), māramatanga (understanding) needs to be practised to ensure the bereaved whānau, whānau pani, are cared for appropriately, in a mana-enhancing way.
