This is an alternative choice to having a Funeral service.
A ‘direct cremation’ definition is simply, transfer of the deceased into the care of your funeral director, with no other family involvement or ceremony. Te Awahou & Otaki Funeral Services will obtain and secure of all medical documentation and transfer directly to the crematorium, and the return of the ashes.
The direct cremation includes the following;
Transfer of your loved one into the care of Te Awahou & Otaki Funeral Services from place of death
A basic casket
Securing of the Medical Documents
Registering the death with the Department of Internal Affairs
Obtaining a death certificate
Transfer of deceased to the crematorium
Return of the ashes
Viewing, dressing or any other service will incur extra professional service fees.
